Born in Aberdeen, Keiron studied Trumpet and Keyboard at the Royal Northern College of Music, and while still a student founded the RNCM Light Orchestra and Big Band. After Graduating he played with the Scottish National Orchestra, Northern Radio Orchestra, Welsh Opera, Scottish Ballet, London Festival Ballet, Royal Ballet and Manchester Camerata.
Since settling in Yorkshire, Keiron has conducted several Championship class brass bands as well as numerous Concert bands and wind groups, including the National Youth Wind Ensemble of Scotland in 1996.
Also a composer, it is perhaps the breadth of his musical experience which makes him such an excellent conductor, rarely losing his cool whilst demanding the highest possible standards from his musician.
